#1 Killer in America
Americans are now faced with the true end result of poor lifestyle choices – heart disease. The Standard American Lifestyle is nearly a guarantee of cardiovascular disease. 1 in 2 Americans are dying from this condition. The problem is most Americans have this condition and have no clue. This is the nation’s top SILENT KILLER. By the time we realize we have heart disease, it is usually too late. There are approximately 1.5 million heart attacks yearly in the U.S., and half of these patients are under the age of 65. 50% of the time, the first warning sign of heart disease is a fatal heart attack. You must take an active role in the cause and prevention of this disease before you become a statistic. The worst fact in all of this is, that 70% of children 12 years of age have the early stage heart disease called arteriosclerosis.
Heart Disease Warning Signs:
- You have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, heart disease or angina
- You are taking any kind of heart or blood pressure medication
- You have a family history of heart disease or stroke
- You suffer from muscle aches or “restless legs”
- Your memory is declining
- Your hands and feet frequently fall asleep or feel tingly
- Your experience cold hands or feet
- You have cuts or sores on your feet that won’t heal
- You experience shortness of breath
- You experience heart palpitations
- Your heart rate fluctuates or is unsteady
- You have elevated Homocysteine levels in blood
- You have elevated CRP levels indicating inflammation
- Loss of the normal cervical curve
These warning signs must propel you to take immediate action and get “The Answer”. Remember 1 in 2 people die from heart disease, and 50% of the time the first warning is a fatal heart attack.
Cholesterol and Heart Disease
If I would ask the general public and nearly all Medical doctors what the main cause of heart disease was, they would respond by saying “high cholesterol”. What a wicked web of deception the Pharmaceutical Companies have weaved!
Simply stated, cholesterol is guilty of a crime it didn’t commit. Cholesterol is not and never will be the cause of heart disease. The medical community is “barking up the wrong tree” and making billions of dollars in the process by prescribing poisonous cholesterol lowering drugs called Statins: lipitor, mevacor, prevachol and probably 2 or 3 more since writing of this section. We have known for over a decade now that 50% of people who have a heart attack don’t even have elevated cholesterol levels.
Why doesn’t Cholesterol cause Heart Disease?
Early stage heart disease is called arteriosclerosis. Arteriosclerosis is a diseased state of the wall of the artery. Plaque gradually builds up on the wall of the artery, thickening and hardening the artery. This plaque continues to form until the opening of the artery is completely blocked. Blood cannot reach the heart muscle, and it dies from lack of oxygen (heart attack).
When scientists and researchers analyze the plaque in the artery, they find cholesterol in the plaque. Since they found cholesterol in the plaque, they assumed that cholesterol caused the heart attack. Now when people hear that they have plaque in their arteries, the first thing that comes to mind is cholesterol. Plaque is also composed of collagens, phospholipids, fibrin, triglycerides, mucopolysaccharides, heavy metals, proteins, muscle tissue and debris. Cholesterol is being accused of a crime it didn’t commit. This is like saying the police are guilty of a crime because they showed up at the crime scene.
The Business of Cholesterol Medication
The cholesterol lowering drug industry is a billion dollar a year industry. I definitely don’t think they are in a big hurry to tell the truth!! It would result in billions upon billions of dollars of revenue being lost; including law suits if people ever found out that cholesterol medicine is useless at preventing heart disease and is actually life threatening. Look at the profit the cholesterol scam has generated. Money generated from doctor’s visits, blood work, Statin drug prescription, commercials, bypass surgery, balloon angioplasty etc.
Want to see corruption? Follow the money in the cholesterol scam. How many more Americans were placed on cholesterol medication when they lowered “safe” cholesterol levels from 300 to 200? They are in fact trying to get the safe level to 150. This is merely a ridiculous ploy to sell more drugs and is doing nothing to lower the staggering statistics of the #1 killer in America, Heart Disease. More people are dying from heart disease than ever before. Remember, “If all the dogs are barking up the wrong tree, it is still the wrong tree.”
The Benefit Of Cholesterol
We are completely misled by the medical community on cholesterol. Here is an interesting fact, 80% of the cholesterol in our body is produced by our own body. Cholesterol is a vital component of the body. It is found in every cell and it makes hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. It conducts nerve impulses and is a large component in the brain. In fact, researchers have proven synthetically lowering cholesterol levels by the use of Statin drugs is a cause of senile dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, cholesterol is crucial in the production of vitamin D from sun exposure. Interesting to note that 85% of Americans are deficient in Vitamin D.
Cholesterol Medicine is a Deadly Prescription
Cholesterol medication seriously depletes the body’s essential energy molecule called coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). This depletion leads to congestive heart failure, extreme muscle weakness, neurological disorders and even death. All Statin drugs have been associated with causing or promoting cancer in experimental animals. Since Statin drugs, there has been a 600% increase in congestive heart failure. The Journal of Natural Medicine found that Statin drugs produce significant suppression of vital immune cells called helper T cells. These cells play an important role in protecting us from fungal, bacterial and viral infections, including cancer.
Cholesterol medication has been linked to increased risk of:
- Depression – Psychosomatic Medicine 2000; 62
- Violent behavior – JAMA 1997; 278:313-321
- Anemia
- Acidosis
- Frequent fevers
- Cataracts
Dr. Mercola states that far less than 5% of people on Statin drugs actually need the drug. He also states that there are individuals with total cholesterol above 350 who have inherited liver processing problems. This means that even if your score is over 350, unless you have liver disease, proper lifestyle changes can prevent the use of Statin drugs. Cholesterol lowering drugs are a cash cow for the pharmaceutical companies. Business Weekly reports Statins are the single biggest market in the prescription drugs sold to “treat” the side effects from the dangerous drugs.
Dr. Blaylock states “the Statin makers donate millions to major medical universities, hire big named cardiologists for “consulting work” and fund Statin related research for these medical Mecca’s. These monies are the milk of the medical universities. As a result, medical students, interns and residents in training are taught the propaganda endlessly. They are to sleep deprived to know otherwise.”
Acidity and Inflammation
A question you should ask your Medical Doctor is if the cholesterol in my blood is so bad for me then why don’t I develop plaque in my veins?
Plaque only develops in arteries, not in veins. Here’s the difference: An artery has an outer muscular layer that can expand and contract which regulates blood pressure maintaining a gradual delivery of blood to organs as well as all parts of the body. A vein doesn’t have this muscular wall; therefore plaque doesn’t develop in veins. The reason for this occurrence is when the blood is acidic from consuming acidic foods, inflammation occur in the blood vessels. The acid induced inflammation attacks the muscular layer of the artery; this chronic inflammation continually irritates the muscular wall, thus attempting to burn a hole through it. This places tiny cracks in the muscular wall of the artery. In self defense plaque is produced to seal the cracked artery so the blood vessel doesn’t rupture thus causing us to bleed to death. Cholesterol is actually there to protect the injured blood vessel and it is being accused of the crime. Remember acidic blood is in both arteries and veins. However, veins do not have the muscular wall therefore is not affected by acidosis. This is an oversimplified explanation of why cholesterol isn’t the bad guy.
Scientific Explanation of Inflammation
(If this information is too technical, feel free to skip)
After years of chronic overacidity, cholesterol is released from the liver to protect the blood vessels. Free radicals attack cholesterol in the blood vessels, called oxidative stress. The oxidative stress creates plaque in the blood vessel wall. Oxidized cholesterol creates inflammation to the endothelium of a blood vessel wall. In defense of inflammation our body sends WBC mainly monocytes to clean up the damaged blood vessel. When monocytes pick up oxidized cholesterol, it creates what’s called a foam cell. This foam cell is like a ball of fat that attaches itself to the hardened blood vessel wall called a fatty streak. This fatty streak is an inflammatory lesion, which is the initial stage of atherosclerosis. This chronic inflammation is the underlying cause of heart attacks, strokes, peripheral vascular disease and aneurysms.
Chronic inflammation also causes the muscle layer of the artery to thicken called proliferation. When the blood vessels are jammed with oxidized plaque and fatty streaks, the blood vessel narrows. Now platelets can adhere to the plaque in the narrowed artery. With all of this stress on the blood vessel wall (by hardening, narrowing, and spasm) the plaque ruptures causing a clot to form. This accounts for 50% of heart attacks. That is why heart disease is silent. You never know when the plaque is going to rupture causing a clot, preventing blood and oxygen from getting to the heart muscle. We only have 4 coronary arteries feeding the heart muscle. When they are blocked, this involves a cardiologist going in and opening up the blood vessels with a procedure called balloon angioplasty. If that isn’t sucessful he may have to perform a bypass surgery, where they actually redirect the blood to the heart by making another blood vessel. These heart patients are at the end stage of the inflammatory response. Don’t let your arteries get this bad.
The April 1997 issue of the New England Journal of medicine, Kilmer McCully M.D. agrees with this concept by suggesting a radical “new” medical theory that cholesterol is not the primary cause of heart disease, but rather, “inflammation of blood vessel walls, is the primary cause of heart attacks and strokes.” It has been 11 years since that research. Why is cholesterol still being blamed? Follow the money and you will understand why.
The root cause of Heart Disease is over acidity dissolving the arterial muscle. Therefore if one is taking cholesterol medication such as Lipitor, Zocor or any other toxic chemical designed to lower cholesterol levels; in reality you are disrupting the body’s innate response for survival from over-acidity! In doing so you are creating a chronic inflammatory acidic state in the arteries, depleting the precious antioxidant CoQ10, thus weakening the heart muscle and taking you one step closer to heart disease.
Belly Fat and Heart Disease
Research concludes that belly fat located around your intestines and organs secretes powerful inflammatory chemicals: Cytokines C-reactive protein, Chemokines and Leptin.
These chemicals cause three deadly conditions:
- Insulin resistance causing type II diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Atherosclerosis (heart disease)
This research concludes that it is imperative to lose weight, especially around our waist. Our lives depend on it.
The True Cause of Heart Disease
Now that the falsely accused cholesterol is out of the way, it’s time to uncover the true cause of this killer. The two main causes of heart disease are poor nutrition and lack of exercise. Here is an example of the typical American lifestyle. The sedentary lifestyle is the cause of nearly all diseases, especially Heart Disease. The typical American is so stressed out by trying to survive in this fast paced society, that they take no time to focus on healing their bodies. As a result of constantly meeting deadlines and quotas, we take no time to prepare a nutrient dense meal, instead we are living in the microwave era. We consume already prepared boxed, canned and packaged foods. We eat at restaurants far too often, and worst of all, we eat at fast food chains! As a result of putting poison into our bodies, we drain the body of all natural energy. We resort to sugar as a quick pick me up to get through the day. Energy drinks, coffee, sodas, candy bars or some other synthetic stimulant. We have such a void from poor nutrition that we can’t even conceive the thought of exercising. Instead we lay on the couch watching a few hours of mind altering television, drinking alcohol to help escape reality, while eating junk food until we are zombies and fall asleep.
After years of living this sedentary lifestyle, we notice we are 30 pounds over weight and feel like we are 80 years old. We get a routine physical to see how we are doing and find out our blood pressure is high. We find out that our cholesterol levels have elevated and after being educated on the risk factors of heart disease, we are given a synthetic cocktail of heart drugs. Having full faith in the medical doctors, we take the poisons without questioning the side effects. Never being educated on the TRUE cause of heart disease, we never find time to change our lifestyle, tragically, dying of a heart attack at 60 or 70 years of age, leaving our loved ones to wonder why. “How did it happen to them?” “They seemed so healthy.” “They were taking the medicine their doctor recommended.” “I guess it was just their time.” The scenario is played out all across America. We must take responsibility regarding our health, and it starts with nutrition.
The two main causes of heart disease through way of nutrition are sugar and trans fatty acids. Poor nutrition causes a chronic state of inflammation throughout our body. Sugar is known as the “sweet thief of life” – Dr. Tim Oshea. Sugar is a deadly substance that Americans are addicted to. Refined sugar is found in nearly every packaged, processed food. When sugar is consumed it is either used for energy or stored as fat. Americans are so sedentary it doesn’t take much energy to sit at your computer all day and on the couch all night, therefore if the sugar isn’t being burned for fuel, it is stored as fat. Fat is stored in the hips, belly and thighs but most importantly fat in the blood vessels. This condition is called atherosclerosis. Fat in the blood vessels continues to narrow the arteries until they become completely blocked and we have a heart attack. Now if fat is building up in the coronary arteries from too much sugar intake, it is also building up in every single artery in the body, thus affecting the brain, kidneys, liver etc. So simply stated, avoid all refined sugars for proper heart health.
The next enemy is trans fatty acids, also known as partially hydrogenated oils (corn, safflower, canola, soybean, vegetable oils). These are known as free radical fats. One gram of TFA (trans fatty acids) increases heart disease by 20%. If you eat one donut it contains 6 grams of trans fats. That’s a 120% increased risk of heart disease. One small bag of French fries at McDonalds contains 5 grams of TFA. That’s 100% increased risk of heart disease. It is imperative that we never eat this poison and especially never let our children eat these foods. Remember, 70% of children 12 years of age have early stage heart disease. Now you know why! The worst thing Americans were conned into believing was the advertisements that margarine was heart healthy and butter was bad. This is completely incorrect. Margarine significantly increases heart disease because margarine is made up of Tran’s Fatty Acids. Margarine is used in everything: baked goods, fast food, cookies, cakes, pies, etc. TFA are a preservative that allow for a long shelf life. The problem is TFA can be rancid and they have no flavor, therefore we are eating rancid fats and don’t even know it. This is why we have to eliminate ALL FRIED FOODS. New York has banned TFA from restaurants, and soon other cities will follow. Oreos was sued because they used TFA in their cookies and are marketing to children. Girl Scout cookies have TFA. They are in anything that is boxed, canned or packaged. Trans fats are a man-made fat; they are synthetic and toxic to the body.
Exercise and the Heart
The second main cause of heart disease is the lack of exercise. This includes lifting weights and aerobic exercise. You know the saying, if you don’t use it you lose it. Just like your rear end gets loose and flabby from lack of exercise, so does the heart muscle. The heart is a pump. It must pump blood throughout the entire body. If it is weak the cells don’t get oxygen rich blood and they start to deteriorate.
Experts say our pulse should be between 60-90 beats per minute. I say that is way too high. Our pulse should be between 40-60 beats per minute. The more athletic you are through exercise and healthy diet, the lower your pulse should be. My resting pulse is 40 beats per minute. This means that my heart muscle is so strong that 1 heart beat pumps an enormous amount of blood thought the body so the heart doesn’t have to work as hard as a heart beating at 60 bpm. If someone’s heart is beating at 60 bpm and my heart is beating at 40 bmp, their heart beats 28,800 extra beats per day compared to mine. Like any moveable part, the more it works the faster it will wear out. No wonder why the heart dies at 70 years of age. Check your pulse to see how many beats per minute your heart is working. Exercise is the only proven way to strengthen the heart muscle. This is one of the many reasons why exercise is critical to health. Exercise is nature’s pace maker.
The Business of Heart Bypass
When cholesterol medicine fails the next step is a bypass surgery. They take a scalpel to the occluded artery and replace it with a section of new artery from another part of the body. Unfortunately, this only buys about 2 years of life. Bypass re-occlusion rate is 57% after 2 years. This means the artery gets blocked again within 2 years. Medicine and bypass surgery is only addressing the symptom. Additionally, if the arteries are clogged in the heart, that means they are clogged going to the other organs as well.
Thick Blood
Millions of Americans suffering from Heart disease are told that their blood is too thick. It is nearly a guarantee that your doctor will recommend some type of chemical to thin the blood. They routinely recommend Plavix, aspirin or Coumadin. I will get to their deadly side effects later. Heavy, thick blood is a very serious health concern. Our blood is our river of life. Thick, sludgy blood is very low in Oxygen. Oxygen is the #1 vital element for our survival.
Every single cell in our body is literally suffocating from hypoxia (deficiency of oxygen), which we know is one of the leading causes of disease. Thick blood also strains the heart. It has to pump 2-3 times harder to pump thick blood throughout the blood vessels compared to thin blood which dramatically increases blood pressure. Thick blood is a huge risk factor for strokes because the blood cells clump together increasing likelihood of a blood clot.
Other common signs of thick blood are:
- When the blood is drawn, it looks very dark opposed to bright red
- Slow bleeding when you are cut
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Candida
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Miscarriages
- Hormonal imbalances
- Fatigue, Exhaustion
- Weakened Immunity
Please understand this is just a small list of signs. Thick blood is the result of poor nutrition coupled with poor circulation from lack of exercise. Therefore, most people with degenerative disease have thick, sludgy blood. Healthy blood is only found in healthy people. When you take medicine to thin your blood you are only treating the symptom, not the cause. We don’t have thick blood because we have a deficiency of Coumadin (rat poison), aspirin, or plavix in our body. We have thick blood because we are sick!
Now this is what happens to a weakened heart from lack of exercise, clogged internal organs and a poisonous, acidic diet. After years of consuming dead, cooked, processed, nutrient-less food, our body’s cells begin to deteriorate and degenerate. The body’s internal cleansing system (lymph nodes, kidneys, liver and colon) begins to clog with waste products from eating poisonous foods. When the internal cleansing organs become overworked from filtering toxic waste from the body day in and day out, they start to wear out and subsequently become less efficient. The function of the filtering organs (kidneys and liver) is to keep our blood clean, thin and nutrient rich. Similar to the job of an oil filter, keeping the oil clear of contaminants will ensure a clean and efficient engine. Imagine if your car’s oil filter had not been changed after 50,000 miles of continuously dumping the worst gasoline into its tank. It wouldn’t take long for the oil to become thick, sludgy and viscous, ruining the engine! Guess what: the same thing occurs to our bodies every day, if we are polluting ourselves with junk food. Why is it that we seem to care more about our cars than we do our bodies?!
Our blood immediately starts to thicken when the cleansing organs become clogged with plaque. Thick blood places more demand on the heart. The heart, in turn, must pump harder to get the thick, sludgy blood throughout the entire body, thus raising the blood pressure. In time, the over-worked, stressed-out heart begins to wear out. A weakened heart can no longer keep up with the high demand of pumping blood throughout the body. This causes water in the lungs called Congestive Heart failure, and swelling (edema) in the ankles. The water collects in the feet and lower legs due to gravity. This is when the patient first begins to notice signs of heart disease, even though it has been developing for 30 to 50 years. They experience shallow breaths, fatigue, heart palpitations, cold hands and feet, poor wound-healing, swelling in the feet. The list goes on. THIS is where people make a terminal mistake, by making an appointment with their Medical Doctor. The Medical Doctor does not educate them on the cause of heart disease and offers nothing but Drugs. The drugs consist of cholesterol medicine, blood pressure medicine, daily aspirin or coumadin for thick blood, and a diuretic for water in the heart, lungs and lower legs. This is a prescription for disaster! These drugs do nothing to address the cause of heart disease but rather address the symptoms.
Have you thought about how medicine is killing you?
The cholesterol medicine is depleting the heart muscle of highly necessary CoQ10, weakening the heart muscle even more. Synthetically lowering blood pressure causes the heart muscle to not beat as strongly, resulting in decreased blood flow throughout the body. Decreased blood flow results in decreased nutrients and oxygen going to each cell causing chronic tiredness. The blood thinner aspirin will eventually cause gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney failure, or liver failure. Diuretics are the worst of all. Americans are chronically dehydrated by not consuming enough water, and instead drinking coffee, tea, soda and energy drinks that simply remove what water is left in the body. As a survival mechanism the body will remove water from the blood and store it in tissue, causing water to accumulate around the heart and in the feet and lower legs. Your Medical Doctor thinks that you are holding too much water and therefore prescribes a diuretic. Essentially, the diuretic further dehydrates an already dehydrated body. Unfortunately, Medical Doctors are scaring you into thinking that the drugs are prolonging your life while in reality, the drugs are shortening your life everyday you’re taking them. Remember: If medicine were the answer then we would be the healthiest, because Americans are the most medicated!
Blood Thinners
Coumadin (warfarin) – is the active ingredient in rat poison. Need I say more?? I definitely know ingesting rat poison will not take you closer to optimal health. Side effects are: joint pain, dizziness, difficulty breathing, head aches, numbness, low blood pressure, paralysis, chest pain, unexplained shock, hemorrhage. Aspirin is no longer recommended for heart disease. The company that first recommended taking an aspirin a day for prevention was the same company that did the research: Bayer Pharmaceuticals. I wonder if they had any financial interest in recommending this drug? Since then, numerous researches have concluded that aspirin increases heart disease risk.
- Archives of Internal Medicine June 2000; 160: 777-784 NSAIDS cause greater than a 10 fold increased risk of congestive heart failure.
- The New England Journal of Medicine March 12 2006: combining plavix with aspirin nearly doubled the death rate from heart disease.
- The British Medical Journal Nov. 11 2000: many people taking aspirin daily are nearly doubling their chances of suffering from ulcers and internal bleeding with occasional fatalities.
15% of people on kidney Dialysis today are due to Tylenol alone or in combination with other aspirin like drugs. A 1994 article in NEJM showed that taking more than one tablet a day of Tylenol doubles the risk of kidney damage. -Dr. Joe Mercola
Plavix
- The New England Journal of Medicine March 12 2006 – combining aspirin with plavix doubled the death rate from heart disease. Plavix is classified as a “super-aspirin”. Plavix costs $3-4 a pill and has made more than 3 billion in sales since 2000.
- The New England Journal of Medicine – patients who took plavix had 12 times as many ulcers as those who took aspirin plus a heart burn pill. Other plavix side effects include: GI bleeding, stroke, heart attack and death. (see www.adrugrecall.com)
High Blood Pressure
1 in 3 Americans now have High Blood Pressure
When a patient has high blood pressure the doctor prescribes Diuretics, Calcium Channel blockers, beta blockers or Ace Inhibitors. All these drugs do is synthetically weaken the heart muscle so the heart doesn’t contract so hard, thus lowering blood pressure. This is a disaster because the heart gets weaker and blood is supplied properly throughout the body so the side effects of blood pressure medicine are worse than the disease itself. Patients on blood pressure medicine are chronically tired. Diuretics cause kidney failure, impotence, strokes and dizziness. Calcium channel blockers cause a 60% increase risk of heart attacks. Beta blockers cause congestive heart failure. Ace inhibitors cause severe kidney damage. By age 65 the average American is on 5-7 drugs. Only 2 of the drugs address the original problem, the other 4 are addressing the side effects from the drugs. Please educate yourself on the drugs you are taking. You will find out that they are part of the PROBLEM.
Why Do Medicine Doctors ONLY Recommend Drugs?
A Medicine Doctor’s job is to prescribe drugs or perform surgery, Its as simple a that. They make no money recommending lifestyle changes. I am sure they believe that treating disease with medicine is the best solution. They have had countless years of brainwashing in medical school. They basically graduate medical school as puppets for the pharmaceutical industry.
“Its hard to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on him to not understand it.”
Lab Tests to Assess Risk of Heart Disease
Homocysteine
Homocysteine is formed in the body from metabolizing (breaking down) an essential amino acid called Methionine. Methionine is found in large quantities in meats, eggs, milk, cheese, white flour, processed foods, and refined foods, packaged, boxed and canned foods. In very small amounts our body converts Homocysteine back to methadone or cystein; however we are consuming such large quantities of these products that our body gets dangerous levels of Homocysteine.
Homocysteine is an independent risk factor for heart disease. There is no healthy level of Homocysteine; therefore it should be as low as possible. A blood test can measure your level. Safe level is below 7 micro/L. If your level is above 12 you are in very serious cardiac trouble. There is no drug to restore Homocysteine to a healthy range; therefore it is usually not mentioned to you by your medical doctor.
C – reactive protein
The Highly sensitive CRP test is the best test to measure chronic inflammation in the body causing Heart Disease. Inflammation is at the root cause of most degenerative diseases. Any condition with the suffix “IT IS” means inflammation.
It is absolutely appalling to me how many lives are destroyed by the business of medicine through toxic pills and scalpels. These procedures are all in the mere attempt to address the symptom and never the root cause. How many millions of lives and dollars will be lost by medical misinformation? It is our personal obligation to see to it that every person we are in contact with learns THE TRUTH!
