The Utlimate Healthcare System
“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest their patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and the cause and prevention of disease.” – Thomas Edison
The doctors of the future are chiropractors and that future is now!! My mission is to teach our society the 3 most powerful lifestyle changes to save our families’ lives:
EXERCISE — NUTRITION — CHIROPRACTIC
Most people understand the importance of exercise and nutrition, but very few people truly understand the power of chiropractic care. Chiropractic is not just for neck or back pain. It is the best kept secret to optimal health.
The Truth
The truth goes through 3 stages:
- It is ridiculed.
- It is violently opposed.
- Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.
My mission as a chiropractor is to teach you the truth regarding your spine and nervous system. What is the most important part of the human body? It is the part that is not functioning properly. In the majority of our society, that part is our spine. The spine is the most neglected part of the human body. As a culture we are taught to take care of our teeth by brushing, flossing and seeing a dentist routinely, however when it comes to our spine all that we are taught is “sit up straight”. We are not taught to visit a chiropractor routinely for spinal maintenance.
Why is the Spine So Important?
The spine has 2 important functions: support and protection. The spine supports our human frame, thus allowing us to walk upright. Most importantly, the spine protects our nervous system. The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord, and 31 pairs of spinal nerves that exit the spine to control and coordinate every single organ, tissue and cell within the body. Our spinal cord is considered the lifeline of our body. When our spine misaligns we call this a subluxation. A subluxation places dangerous pressure on the nerves, also referred to as a pinched nerve. Subluxations interfere with the body’s ability to heal, thus resulting in pain, dysfunction, then eventually disease.
Garden Hose Analogy
Think of a subluxation (pinched nerve) as a kinked garden hose. In time, lack of water supply to the garden will deplete the soil and eventually destroy the plants. Lack of nerve supply will deplete our cells and eventually destroy the organs, resulting in disease.
Circuit Breaker Analogy
Think of the spine as a fuse box and the organs as electrical appliances. If we blow a fuse, our appliance won’t work. The only way to fix the problem is to reset the circuit breaker. Far too many times we have organ malfunction causing disease but never check the spine for a subluxation (blown fuse). We immediately resort to taking medicine or surgery, but we never check the spine for the cause of the problem. Remember: the nerves that exit the spine control every single organ, tissue, muscle and cell in the body. Doesn’t it make sense to check the spine first?
“Look to the spine for the cause of disease.” – Hippocrates, Father of Modern Medicine
4 Components to Survival
- Food
- Water
- Oxygen
- Nerve Impulse
The human body can live up to 1 month without food, 1 week without water, 4 minutes, without oxygen, but only 4 seconds without nerve impulse. The typical “health guru” is only focusing on the first 3 components. They think they are healthy if they exercise and eat well, however they are missing the key component: chiropractic care. We must be under routine chiropractic care to ensure a healthy spine and nervous system.
Good posture, yoga or Pilates is not enough to correct the spine. This thinking is equivalent to having cavities and thinking that smiling pretty will correct the cavities. Just as teeth require a dentist, the spine requires a chiropractor.
How Did My Spine Get Misaligned?
The birth process is typically the first cause. That’s correct: our problems could have started from the day we were born. To deliver a child from the birth canal the doctor pulls on the baby’s head with 40 to 60 pounds of pressure. They then rotate the baby’s head up to 120˚. The head should only rotate 90˚. All of this twisting and pulling usually causes the first subluxation to the neck.
OSHA says the average child falls up to 60 times per day when learning how to walk. This usually is the cause of pelvic misalignments.
The most damaging position for the spine is the seated posture. The average American sits up to 80% of their day. We go from the office chair to the car to the couch. The computer posture is the worst position and is the leading cause of posture decay and spinal problems.
Our children slouch all day in school, carry a 20 to 30 pound backpack on their shoulders, play video games, slouch while watching hours and hours of television, and also fall while playing sports and riding bikes. It is imperative that children are under chiropractic care. “As a twig is bent so grows the tree.” A child not under chiropractic care will most likely grow into adulthood with possible chronic aches, pains, scoliosis, and organ problems.
Children will also inherit their parent’s spinal problems. Just like they may have your same nose or hair they may also have your same spine. Inherited spinal problems can be corrected if addressed early in life.
Common causes of spinal misalignments include carrying a purse or backpack on one shoulder, carrying a wallet in the back pocket, sleeping on your stomach, using too many pillows to prop up the head, repetitive job motions, crossing the legs at the knee and, most importantly, being overweight. The spine is not designed to carry 20 or 30 extra pounds around all day long. Being overweight wears out the discs in the spine and causes it to misalign.
With all of these lifestyle factors, it makes sense that it’s imperative to be under routine chiropractic care.
X-Ray Analysis
X-ray is the best method of analyzing the spine. By using X-ray analysis, we can locate your subluxations, estimate how long it will take to correct your spine, and prove when a correction has been made.
“You cannot prove, disprove or improve what you cannot measure.”
What Will My Medical Doctor Say about the X-rays?
Unfortunately, medical doctors are not trained to analyze the spine like chiropractors. MDs are only looking for fractures, tumors, or dislocations – they have no training in analyzing subluxations. Asking an MD for a second opinion about your subluxations is like asking them for a second opinion about your cavities. The most common response a medical doctor will give is, “Your X-rays look normal for your age.” There is absolutely nothing normal about subluxations at any age. That is like saying it is normal to have dentures at 60. They then will write a prescription for a muscle relaxer, painkiller, or anti-inflammatory and send you on your way. All these drugs do is mask your symptoms and do nothing to correct the cause of your problems.
A medicine doctor’s job is to give medicine. A chiropractor’s job is to correct the spine.
Then Why Don’t I Feel Pain?
We must understand that most diseases like cancer, heart disease, subluxations, and cavities are silent killers. By the time we feel the symptom it is too late. Only 10% of our nerves are pain fibers while the other 90% run our body. To base your health on pain is only relying on 10%. True health is when the body is functioning at 100%. Health is not merely the absence of pain or symptoms.
Why Can’t I Just Take a Pill?
Medicine only masks our symptoms – it does nothing to correct the cause of the problem. We do not get headaches because we have a deficiency of aspirin, nor do we get arthritis from a deficiency of Celebrex.
“There is no short term solution for long term health”
Medicine is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (JAMA, July 26, 2000). Our body is not designed to be fed toxic chemicals. All medicine is foreign to the body and can cause deadly side effects.
How Long Do I Have to be Under Chiropractic Care?
For as long as you plan on staying healthy! How long do you plan on exercising or brushing your teeth? The spine requires routine maintenance. Once the spine is restored to its optimal position, chiropractic care can be as infrequent as once a month.
Interest vs. Commitment
It takes hard work and commitment to restore the spine. If someone is merely interested in spinal correction, as soon as they face adversity, they quit. “It’s too much work”, “I don’t have the time”, “I can’t afford it”, and every other EXCUSE! If you are committed, there is no such thing as an excuse. You just make it happen!
I Can’t Afford It!
You can’t afford not to do this. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. You must value your health. Choosing to pay for chiropractic care is an investment for your future health. The average person spends 50 years spending all of their health to acquire wealth, then their next 30 years spending their wealth to regain their health. Make chiropractic a priority and a part of your lifestyle. It is not a luxury: it’s a necessity!
“Posture affects and moderates every physical and mental function in the body. Spinal pain, blood pressure, headaches, pulse, lung capacity, and mood are only a small portion of the body’s functions that are most easily influenced by posture.” – C. Norman Shealy
Check Your Family for Subluxations
Don’t keep your chiropractic care a secret. Share the greatest gift of health with your family and friends. If you truly understand how powerful chiropractic is for healing the body, you should make it a point to have your children and spouse checked for subluxations (silent killers). Give your family the greatest gift of health -chiropractic care.

Structure Dictates Function:
The most important part of the spine is the neck (cervical spine). 98% of your entire bodies function is controlled by the upper cervical spine. Christopher Reeves broke his atlas bone placing 1 centimeter of pressure on his spinal cord and brain stem, thus shutting down his entire internal organ system (heart, lungs, and digestive organs). The most important structure to maintain in your entire body is the proper curve in your neck, according to Dr. Rene Cailliet M.D. in his book “Rejuvenation Strategy”. Loss of the normal cervical curve, forward head syndrome as well as the humpback syndrome causes the following complications:
- The head in forward posture can add up to 30 pounds of abnormal leverage on the cervical spine, causing degeneration to the disc, joints and spinal cord. The best way to describe Forward Head Syndrome is to imagine a bowling ball in front of your chest all day.
- It decreases vital lung capacity as 30%, leading to heart and blood vessel complications. Jut your chin forward and flex your chin to your chest and try to breath. You can barely do it! Then tuck your chin in and extend your head backwards. Experience the difference in breathing capacity.
- The entire gastro-intestinal system is affected, particularly the large intestine. Loss of good bowel peristaltic function and evacuation is common with forward head posture and loss of spinal curve. Look around at how many people have digestive issues today, and you will have an idea of how our culture is degenerating.
- Forward head posture causes loss of normal spinal range of motion. The body becomes rigid and the person’s body becomes hunched.
Wolfe’s Law of Physics states the longer a subluxation exists, the more damage and degeneration to the spine and central nervous system.
According to the Journal of American Geriatric Society, Volume 52 Issue 10:
The Hyperkyphotic Posture (Loss of normal neck curve):
- Increases mortality death rate by 144%
- Specifically associated with an increase of atherosclerosis (cardiovascular disease)
- Associated with restrictive pulmonary disease
- Those with hyperkyphotic posture were approximately 2 times more likely to die from pulmonary (lung) disease
- Those with hyperkyphotic posture had a 2.4 times greater mortality rate from atherosclerosis
The Impact of Positive Sagittal Balance in Adult Spinal Deformity. Spine, Volume 30 (18). September 15, 2005. pp.2024 – 2029
- Positive sagittal balance is also called forward head posture.
- Positive sagittal balance is significantly associated with pain and disability.
- Mild positive sagittal balance is somewhat detrimental, severity of symptoms increases in linear fashion with progressive sagittal balance.
Get Committed
Enough of the quick fix. If drugs worked you would already be better. Lord knows that we try the easiest approach first – drugs and surgery! Since that has miserably failed us, it is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work!! What do we expect from following a lifetime of no exercise and toxic overload? If you truly want to recover from disease you must be willing to do the work DAILY! Cancer doesn’t take a day off, and neither should we. Far too many times I hear sick people say, “Oh, that’s way too much work” or “I can’t afford that.” News flash: You can’t afford to NOT follow our program. There is a difference between interest and commitment. If someone is merely interested in getting better, as soon as an obstacle arises, they bail. If you are committed, nothing will get in your way – you have committed yourself to success. There is no such thing as incurable diseases, only incurable people. You must ask yourself if you are ready to change your life and health. No more, “Well, I’ll give it a try and we’ll see.” This program works without fail if you truly give it 100%. Are you ready for commitment?
